This is the core ability of Augmentation. Keeping it up as much as possible is the primary gameplay challenge of the spec, and will be made easier as you gear up. With the close as clutchmates passive, this will be more powerful when in 5-mans or solo, so one can readily make use of it. In raids however, it will prioritize 4 different damage dealers, so will have a more notable impact on group damage. It's not the end of the world if it drops, but you should try to avoid that as much as possible. Additionally, if you have Prescience on a target, Ebon Might will automatically prefer to target them if possible. This means if say dps A. is way stronger than DPS B, it might be in your best interests to manually do some buff targeting.

The different between a good augmentation Evoker and a bad augmentation evoker is going to come down to knowing who to buff and when I imagine.

The extension spells listed in the tooltip are: Eruption, Upheaval, Fire Breath. (Note that Upheaval's CD is reduced by Accretion so it should line up better with Might's 30s CD), and also Breath of Eons/Deep Breath on a longer cooldown. The duration is also buffed by the second paragraph of Mastery: Timewalker, with stacked mastery very high uptime is possible.

I may be missing something but even reading the guide it implies I could keep this up long enough to re-cast it but that's virtually unheard of for me. Usually I have 8-12 second cooldown on this. Even with breathe of eons it still has like 3-5 seconds usually. Very, very rarely with very lucky essence burst procs and nothing forcing me to stop casting have I gotten it to last until the cd was up. And never without breathe of eons. I am using the recommended build on WoWhead. Perhaps my mastery is low and I should try and stack it higher?

Edit: I have 428 ilvl which obviously isn't the highest but it's not super low either.

Is this spell supposed to give essence burst? I'm getting the burst every time I cast Ebon Might, but can't find any talent or passive that mention it being supposed to happen. Is it just a bug or did they just forgot to put it in one of the tooltips?

As of 10.1.5 does this snapshot current stats when cast? Or is it always updated with what your current stats are?

Should i use my stat increasing on use trinkets before ebon might? Wondering if the intellect increase only applies when the spell is cast or if it's dynamic throughout the buff.
